About Me

"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." - Virginia Woolf

The Kitchen Goddess blog came to life in 2006 after transitioning from its Multiply(dot)com platform around 2004. I wasn't really thinking of a food blog back then but I grew up in a home where home cooking and food discoveries always equates to happy memories. I also love to read and during the time when I created this blog, I was re-reading Amy Tan's "The Kitchen God's Wife." I was also just learning to spend time in the kitchen during that time so I found myself morphing as The Kitchen Goddess.

From that year on, I've seen myself evolve both as a foodie and as a writer. I started attending food related events in 2013 and one of the most memorable event that I've attended as a food blogger was the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2013, and as for food discovery, I am still in awe of the rustic leafy noodles that I've tasted this summer (2018) in Siem Reap- Noodles at Neak Pean Temple.

I've always been an adventurous eater and my love for food has taken me to different continents. And when I have extra time, I try to re-create some of the dishes that I've tasted especially during my travels and feed it to my family.

The Kitchen Goddess is not just about the latest restaurant and food offerings you'll get to visually sample some of the dishes I've tasted during our travels, as well as some recipes I created. Baking is still my waterloo and I hope that in time, I'll discover my passion for it, too.
