NEW RESTO ALERT: Sultan Mediterranean Grill

We were craving for something new so we ended up at Sultan Mediterranean Grill along Wilson Street in San Juan. That area in San Juan is really becoming a foodie haven, so many restaurant choices now.

Parking is a bit tricky though because it only has space for about two cars. We parked across the street. Luckily, it was a holiday so the street is not that busy. Otherwise, securing a parking spot is difficult.

Daughter can't resist order iced tea. It was home-brewed and tastes good.

I had the yogurt shake that costs P80. This comes in a tall glass and I had a hard time finishing all of it. Quite delicious, and really tasted like yogurt! Not that sweet. Thumbs up!

Here are the garlic/yogurt and spicy sauce. We didn't like it though. The garlic/yogurt sauce doesn't really taste garlicky and the spicy sauce was just okay.

So here's what we ordered---- Special Kabab Plate, P300. Really, the serving is huge and good for sharing. Flavorful so all is forgiven about the ungarlicky garlic-yogurt sauce. I'm quite amazed that daughter finished all of this, including the rice. Wow!

I had the Beef Kofta, P220 although I am keen to try the shawarma. Huge beef kofta balls. It is flavorful also but doesn't have that abundance of mediterranean spices. This order came with a big pita bread. Yummy nonetheless!!!

Braised Lamb Shanks, P550. The meat is tender and tasted really good. Same comment that it lacks generous amount of spices.

All in all, we're happy and full especially from the yogurt shake which is kinda sulit for the price of P80. The garlic yogurt sauce needs improvement though, otherwise, they can just say its yogurt sauce. :)
