FOOD FINDS: Green Tea Ice Cream and Caramel Chews

Visiting a Japanese grocery is like a goldmine for a foodie like me. I don't have a favorite place but I get my items from Konbini in Greenhills, Darumaya in Cartimar, Pasay City and Teppen in Makati.

Daughter and I have been complaining about the sudden closure of Jash Mart along Wilson so we can't have our Meiji ice cream fix as much as we'd want to.

Happiness in a cup. We espied this cup of green tea ice cream along with red bean ice cream in the freezer of the Japanese grocery in Little Tokyo.

Hubby made the design since the color was just plain green. Love the taste of this green tea ice cream. Its not sweet and you can really taste the matcha flavor which is a bit bitter and smooth at the same time. A cup costs P85, not bad.

Chocolate coated caramel balls. Kiddie stuff. Sweet and chocolatey goodness. Costs P48.

Caramel chews. This is similar to Kraft caramel chews but smaller in size and not as sweet. Costs P68.

Black Sesame and Salt sprinkles. Adding this to your plain rice makes it taste exciting. Daughter had a blast during lunchtime at school because I always add some black sesame or beef sprinkles (not in photo) on her rice. You can also use this sprinkles if you want to make onigiri. Costs P68.
