Date With Eric

Eric Kayser is my family's current favorite pit stop whenever we go to Powerplant Mall. It is located at the lower ground floor just beside the MarketPlace Cafe.

Eric Kayser descended from a line of traditional bakers so it is no wonder that it is in his blood. He rose from the ranks and apprenticed under the best bakers and won a lot of awards from competitions. He opened his first bakery on September 13, 1996 in Paris. To date, there are about 18 bakeries in Paris and a total of over 60 around the world including Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and now in Manila.

A second branch is opening soon at the Promenade in Greenhills. Hurrah! I just live nearby. Hello lovely breads. :)

Chocolate Croissant. Daughter super love this and can eat about 2-3 if I will allow her. She even requested to bring some for her classmates. Yikes!

Salted Caramel Eclair. Hubby's favorite and mine too. This eclair reminds me of the ones by Monchen Gladbach, a bakery and pattiserie in Japan. I was able to taste Monchen Gladbach donuts (but it looked like an eclair) because a cousin hand-carried a big box after returning from her trip to Japan. Read about Monchen Gladbach here.
