Moms Brunch At Casa Roces

We (with JL and IL) haven't seen each other for quite sometime now that when IL texted us that she has a scheduled meeting with her daughter's adviser the following day and that she's available for breakfast.Chosen brekky place was in nearby Casa Roces, its just a short walk from where our kids go to school.

Casa Roces is an old house renovated and turned into a restaurant / cafe. Its like being in a gallery/museum inside the restaurant because it has interesting interiors and antiques. Stepping inside Casa Roces seem to transport diners in a bygone but glorious era.

Maybe its the food, the conversation, or simply just the company, our brekky turned into brunch that lasted till 2pm. We were the first ones to arrive at the restaurant, then the lunch crowd came in and left, then we watched a pre-nup photoshoot inside Casa Roces while the merienda crowd arrives. Then we had a blast taking photos inside and outside the resto. IL and I had the Beef Tapa Set while JL got the Bangus Tinapa Set. We didn't order drinks as we brought in milk teas from Simply Line. Hahaha. I know, we're bad. ;)

My Beef Tapa Plate. I requested that I wanted omelette. The beef was flavorful and nicely paired with the garlic fried rice, and the vinegar. However, the beef is a bit hard to chew. As for the omelette- wow! So good. I think the cook added some seasoning because I can detect some flavors that I can't identify. Also, the atchara tasted excellent. Cost P199.

IL's Beef Tapa Plate. She got the one with the popular sunny side-up egg.

JL's Bangus Tinapa Plate. She finished hers so I guess its good, also.

Btw, according to them, this is only our second time to eat here. The first one was last year, when we also had breakfast (with C). Ooops! I think we dined here a couple of times with my family and daughter's ninang last year. Hubby even celebrated his birthday dinner here.

Shared this cake (devil's food cake) for dessert. We only got the mini-cake since we're too full but still wanted to eat cake. Cost P130.

We talked about so many things under the sun that its such a shame to stand up and bid each other goodbye. Until next food date!
