Bienvenida Dinner Mario's Baguio

A meal becomes more memorable when shared with good friends. On our recent trip to the City of Pines, my family and I met up with a Baguio-based blogger friend and his daughter for dinner at Mario's Baguio.

It's our first time at Mario's Baguio and we really didn't know what to expect. Luckily, they provided us with impeccable service and made us feel at home. I do love the spacious and homey interiors.

You can choose wine or desserts from the foyer. There's also a separate bar area that's also great for private meetings.

We started our meal with Mario's famous Ceasar Salad. The photo didn't do justice but this is really a great tasting salad. The lettuce has that crunch of freshness and the dressing, cheese, and bacon bits completes the flavor. Good for sharing.

Pollo Iberico. The chicken serving is good for sharing also. It comes with rice but I had it change to mashed potatoes. Really flavorful dish.

Bangus Belly A La Pobre, P310. Hubby ordered this since its almost Holy Week when we went to Baguio, hence, the fish.

Paella Valenciana. The serving portion may look small but an order of this paella can be shared by 3-4 pax. It has meat and seafood so its basically a complete meal already. It takes about 45 minutes to prepare this so its best to order appetizers while waiting. We also had our favorite Toffee Sansrival but it was so good I forgot to take a photo. Ooops!

Mario's is also known as one of the few remaining restaurants that has a pianist. Its so nice to dine listening to classical and other relaxing music. You can also make a request to the pianist. This restaurant is not only an ideal place for dining with family and friends, but also for romantic dates.

As always, Mario's provided us with a sumptuous meal, but with happy memories, too. Seated beside my husband is Vincent, the blogger behind Baguio City Guide and Lakbay Baguio.
