Discovering Big Bowl Noodles

A few days prior to 2017 Chinese New Year, I joined some blogger friends on a walking and eating tour around Manila Chinatown and one of the restaurants that we discovered was Big Bowl Noodles. The place was along Yuchengco Street coming from Ongpin and just beside the Kwan Yin Temple.

Big Bowl Noodles is housed in an old building so don't expect some post interiors. It is just your typical canteen set-up.

Of course, as the name suggests, noodles are highlighted on the menu. I ordered the Beef Brisket Noodles. I really can't remember the price but it costs around P120 and it was served in a big bowl, literally. Good for 2-3 pax if you are ordering other dishes. Tastes okay, the noodles are freshly made and the broth flavorful. The meat itself is chewy and needs more boiling time imho. But for the price, I am definitely not complaining.

Stir-fried Seafood Noodles. Price is around P120 also. Flavorful. This was wiped-out in seconds. Or maybe we were all hungry? ;)

Siomai. Nothing fancy but tummy filling.

Here's what the resto looks inside. See that pink pipe on the right? That's where the waiting staff places the order (there's a container below that pipe) and then someone from the kitchen above pulls it up. Haha cool!
