Sustainable Seafood Week is a week-long celebration between environmental groups, NGOs, and hotels and restaurants in Metro Manila that aims to raise awareness among consumers of unsustainable fishing practices.
From February 20 - 27, 2017, AccorHotels in Manila all joined the advocacy with a series of cooking demonstrations, workshops, and of course, an array of sumptuous feasts from the sea. Highlighting the event from the AccorHotels was a dinner at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila last February 23, 2017.
The AccorHotels who participated and presented their own mouthwatering creations for the Gala dinner at Sofitel Philippine Plaza are: Raffles Makati, Fairmont Makati, Novotel Manila Araneta Center and Mercure Manila Ortigas.

Among these are to achieve a 30% reduction in food waste and to ensure that 100% of our restaurants follow our Healthy and Sustainable Charter, which outlines healthy, high-quality sustainable food models and supply sources."

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila serves sustainable seafood with room service and in all of its restaurants. There's also Spiral's "Hooked at Spiral" seafood night every Wednesday. Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila is committed to increasing its sustainable seafood usage to 50% in the next three years.
