Pad Thai and More at Tip Top Thai Asian Dining & Grill

Air Asia Travel Photographer Team Bangkok had had an eventful flight from Manila to Bangkok and we were quite famished by the time we arrived at the hotel. After some quick consultation with the hotel staff about where to eat dinner, we were directed to Pat Pong Night Market.


Condiments ... look at those dried chili flakes, chile paste, vinegar with chili ... maybe the soy cause is spicy too. Hehe.. just kidding. You can add sugar to your food to neutralize the spiciness though. :)



Kung Hom Pha (Deep fried prawns wrapped in soymilk sheets), 150 THB. This comes with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. Tastes good although we all agreed that its a bit on the oily side. The size of the prawn though makes up for the oiliness. The wrapper is crunchy and the prawn, succulent.



Pad Thai Kung Sod, 150 THB. So good! The noodles are chewy and the peanuts and other pad thai ingredients doesn't overpower each other. Squeeze some lime then mix to make the gastronomic experience a notch higher.



Khao Phad (Fried rice with pork, chicken or beef), 140 THB. I didn't get to taste this because I stopped eating rice last year but Team Bangkok had two orders of this and the plate was wiped clean. I'm guessing its good. :)


Margherita, 165 THB. Can't resist ordering pizza :) I find it surprising though that the restaurant has several choices of pizza and pasta dishes but I guess there are a lot of tourist who crave for familiar food. Yum!



Yum Woon Sen (Spicy vermicelli with seafood salad), 150 THB. Spciy and sour at the same time but the burst of flavor is simply divine. The lime juice balances the Thai chili flakes, and the glass noodles are so light on the tummy that you won't feel guilty eating a whole plate or two. The seafood is also tender, and sweet.
