Le Cellier Wine Degustation At Le Cafe Curieux

Le Cafe Curieux is one of the most interesting cafes I've been to in the metropolis. Maybe its the ambiance and the food, and of course, the people behind Le Cafe Curieux.

As its name implies, the cafe has a lot of interesting things to offer. There was a time when they hosted some art exhibits, hosted an album launch, wine pairing, etc.

It was a lovely night when Le Cafe Curieux and Le Cellier hosted a wine pairing. Presented that night were five wines from Le Cellier- 3 rouge, 1 blanc, and 1 rose. Among the three colors of wine, I particularly liked the rose and the blanc (white). They're fruity and mild tasting than the rouge (red).

Here's the food pairing for the wines. There are several cheeses- blue cheese, camembert, brie, gruyere, and 2 more which I can't identify. Cold cuts: ham, salami, prosciutto, etc. Salad, pickled onions and baby jerkins, grapes, and walnuts.

Its quite interesting to note that the flavor of wine when combined with the different kinds of cheese or meat/ fruit, changes. Same with the blue cheese which I'm not really fond of, but when paired with grapes, loses its saltiness and becomes sweet and creamy. Great with the white wine that we're having also. Thanks to Monsieur Bernard Flour of Le Cellier for that tip.

For wine tasting schedule, you may get in touch with Le Cellier at (02) 897-1840.
