SIEM REAP: Blue Pumpkin

My friend and I discovered Blue Pumpkin during our first foray in the busy streets of Siem Reap. The first branch that we saw was a few steps away from the Old Market. This boulangerie is popular in Siem Reap as it has numerous branches including the one at the airport. The prices are reasonable and way cheaper than the ones here in Manila (seriously).

I got attracted to the baguette and other crusty breads. A long baguette (not in photo) costs only $0.90usd. I bought baguettes, had them sliced and brought it with me when we went to the temples. :D

They also have sandwiches and other yummy-looking items.

And they also have ice-cream! A scoop costs $1.50 and there are tons of delightful ice-cream creations. Sadly, I wasn't able to try the ice-cream here.

Chocolate Croissants.

Chocolate Caramel Tart. These yummies made me visit Blue Pumpkin daily and I even brought some for hubby and daughter.

I had a phase with macarons so even if the colors and flavors are tempting, I didn't get a single bite.

Cute mini cakes. Alas, its fruit-flavored so I skipped them.

I bought a chocolate caramel tart during our second day at Siem Reap. And because I've been eating other sweets already, I was able to make this tart last for three days. I kept it in the fridge in our hotel room and only ate tiny bites after spending a tiring day at the temples.

I miss the chocolate caramel tart already. I guess Blue Pumpkin will be on my list of places to go to should I visit Siem Reap again (in the near future).
