Summer Kitchen Adventures For Kids and Teens

Do you have a budding chef at home? The Maya Kitchen offers cooking and baking classes for kids 6-12 years old and teens 13 years old and up this April and May. Allow your child to explore and discover his/her culinary talent as he/she gets to interact with seasoned chefs at The Maya Kitchen this summer.



On April 8, 10, 11 (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) from 9am-12noon, Junior Master Chef Grand Champion Kyle Imao will teach at the Kids Kitchen Adventure.

He will present each recipe to correspond to school subjects such as the rainbow layer cake, apple pi and strawberries dipped in popping chocolate for math and science. Filipino fried chicken, Filipino style barbeque and Ginataang Halo-halo for History. He will also teach the kids how to make Burritos, Kani sandwiches and Chocolate Eclairs.

Fee for the Kids Kitchen Adventure is Php6,000 and it includes an apron and toque, handouts, ingredients, snacks and lunch. Students will also receive a certificate. Second batch for this class is on May 6-10, Tuesday-Friday 9am-12noon.

Meanwhile, the Teens Workshop: Cuisines of the World will be on April 22-25 (Tuesday to Friday), 9am-2pm. Sabrina Daez is in charge of this class. Recipes will include: Beef and Spinach Cannelloni, Chicken and Mushroom Risotto, Cream Puffs, and Chocolate Truffles for the Italian Feast; Mustard-Grain Pretzel, Fish and Chips, Cream of Pumpkin Soup, Berry-Mango Triffle for Along the Coast of Britain; and The American Superbowl includes- Cheese-Stuffed Burgers, Cajun Mojos, Hot Fudge Sauce, Caramel Sauce, and Brownie S'mores.


Fee for the teens cooking workshop is Php7,000 inclusive of apron and toque, handouts, ingredients, snacks and lunch. Participants will likewise receive a certificate upon completion of workshop. Second batch of workshop is on May 20-23, 9am-2pm.

There's also single session classes on May 2 (Friday) Food and Arts; May 16 Dough-Re-Mi; and Cake Factory on May 30. All classes are from 9am-2pm and has a class fee of Php1,000 per session.
